24 Speed Post: India Post’s Next-Day Guaranteed Delivery Service
Context:
The Department of Posts is launching 24 Speed Post on 17 March 2026 to provide next-day guaranteed delivery services. The premium service will initially be introduced in six major metro cities to strengthen India Post’s express delivery capabilities.
What is 24 Speed Post?
- Premium Express Service: 24 Speed Post is a guaranteed D+1 delivery service designed for urgent and time-sensitive consignments.
- Enhanced Delivery Assurance: The service ensures faster movement of parcels with reliable tracking and secure delivery mechanisms.
- Implementing Authority: It is launched by the Department of Posts under the Ministry of Communications.
Objectives of the Initiative:
- Faster Parcel Delivery: Ensure dependable next-day delivery for urgent shipments.
- Strengthen Express Logistics: Expand India Post’s premium courier and logistics services.
- Support Business Needs: Facilitate time-sensitive parcel delivery for businesses and individuals.
Coverage in the First Phase:
- Pilot Rollout: The service will initially operate across all PIN codes of six metropolitan cities.
- Cities Covered: New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

- Corporate Services: Includes BNPL credit facility, API integration, centralized billing, and free pickup for bulk bookings.
- Parcel Weight Limit: Supports parcels up to 5 kg.
- Seven-Day Operations: Service runs throughout the week including Sundays.
