The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has launched TribeX, an innovative digital learning platform aimed at preserving, promoting, and disseminating India’s tribal heritage, indigenous knowledge systems, and traditional skills through technology.
What is TribeX?
- TribeX is a first-of-its-kind national digital learning platform dedicated to India’s tribal arts, culture, languages, crafts, and traditional knowledge.

- The platform aims to expand its catalogue to over 100 specialized courses in the coming years.
Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
- Provides five UGC-recognized one-year hybrid Postgraduate Diploma programmes through a collaboration with Sampurnanand Sanskrit University (SSU), Varanasi.
- These programmes combine online learning with classroom interaction and practical field experience.

- Houses more than 5,000 multimedia resources, with plans to expand beyond 10,000.
- Includes documentary films, audio recordings, photographs, traditional songs, oral histories, cultural practices, festivals, rituals, manuscripts, and verified literature collected from tribal communities across India.
