YUVA AI for ALL: India’s Push for Digital Empowerment

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has introduced ‘YUVA AI for ALL’, a free national programme aimed at expanding AI literacy across India.

About the YUVA AI for ALL Initiative

Objective
A national-level, free 4.5-hour self-paced online course designed to familiarise learners with the basics of Artificial Intelligence, using examples relevant to the Indian context.

Implementing Agency
Launched by MeitY under the IndiaAI Mission and developed by AI expert Jaspreet Bindra.

Aim
To empower 1 crore Indians with foundational AI knowledge and encourage the adoption of ethical and responsible AI practices.

Key Features
• Completely free course with a government-recognized certificate on completion
• Hosted on platforms such as FutureSkills Prime, iGOT Karmayogi, and other ed-tech portals
• Six structured modules covering AI fundamentals, real-world applications, ethics, safety, and future opportunities
• Uses India-specific examples for improved relevance and understanding
• Open to students, working professionals, and general learners with fully self-paced access
